Privacy Policy
Multi Org Chart (“we”, “us”) is a browser-based tool for designing organization charts. This page describes what data we collect, why, and your rights.
1. Data we collect
- Account data: if you create an account, we store your email address, an optional display name, and your account preferences (plan, admin status).
- Your charts: if you save charts while signed in, we store each chart’s structure (tiers, people, campuses) as a single JSON document attached to your account.
- Local-only data: if you use the app without an account, your work is stored only in your own browser’s
localStorage. We do not transmit it to our servers. - Server logs: our hosting provider (Vercel) keeps short-lived request logs for operational purposes (IP address, user agent, URL). These are not joined to your account data.
2. Where your data lives
Account data and saved charts are stored in Supabase (Postgres + auth, hosted in the United States). Row-level security ensures each user can only read or modify their own rows. The app itself is hosted on Vercel.
3. Third-party services
- Supabase — authentication and database. Supabase privacy policy.
- Vercel — hosting. Vercel privacy policy.
- Google AdSense — ads on the free tier inside the editor. AdSense may use cookies to serve relevant ads. Google ads policy. Pro users see no ads.
- Google OAuth — optional sign-in method.
4. Your rights
You can export your charts (Image, PDF, or CSV) at any time from inside the editor. To delete your account and all associated data, use the self-serve deletion inside your account settings.
5. Children
Multi Org Chart is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we’ll remove it.
6. Changes
We’ll update this page when our practices change and bump the “last updated” date above. Material changes will be announced in-app.
Cookies
We use as few cookies as we can get away with. Here’s the complete list of what we set and why.
Strictly necessary
These cookies are required for the app to function and cannot be disabled.
sb-*-auth-token— set by Supabase to keep you signed in across pages. Cleared when you sign out.
Functional (local storage, not cookies)
When you use the app without an account, your charts are saved in your browser’s localStorage under the key multiorgchart.workspace. This is not a cookie and is never sent to our servers. Clear your browser’s site data to remove it.
Advertising (free tier only)
Google AdSense may set cookies to show non-personalized or personalized ads inside the editor for free-tier users. Pro users see no ads, and AdSense scripts are not loaded for them.

- For EU residents: AdSense respects consent signals; if you’re visiting from the EU, you should see a consent prompt from Google before any ad personalization.
Analytics
We do not run any analytics scripts on Multi Org Chart at this time (no Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Plausible, etc.). Our hosting provider (Vercel) collects basic request metrics for operations, which are not joined to your account.
How to clear cookies
You can clear cookies for this site from your browser’s settings (typically under “Privacy & security” → “Site data”). Clearing them will sign you out and reset any local preferences.
This page is a working stub written by the project author. It reflects how the app actually behaves, but has not been reviewed by an attorney. If you operate the project commercially or in a regulated jurisdiction, have this reviewed before relying on it.
